Happy Friday FAM!
Well, it’s been one year since we came together, from different groups and different areas, with different ideas and missions. We’ve laughed, cried, and most importantly we’ve made a huge impact on our state and our country and we’re not done. We have two INCREDIBLY important actions today, and some information about the future of FAM. Please make sure to read this post and let us know if you have questions.
1. Last night we officially celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a live Admin video. Please watch THE ENTIRE video to make sure you’re up to date on all of the happenings. Some things to look out for: PAC status, merch, and 2018 elections.

2. Last week, a trio of bills made it through the Michigan Senate that would allow concealed carry folks to carry guns in bars, schools, churches and other places they don’t belong. These bills made it past the small committee in the senate, and through the senate itself. The next step is the house of representatives. We need everyone to call their Michigan reps NOW and demand they do not pass this bill. Use this link to find your Representative:
We’re getting national attention, as the Chicago Tribune picked up the story:
3. On a national level The Senate and the House of Representatives are preparing for a tax plan showdown, as it was reported last week that senators had broken from the House plan to create their own. Either way, the prospects are dismal for both plans. It’s time to call our representatives and senators and tell them to STOP THIS MADNESS. Focus on the middle class, and produce a tax plan that doesn’t help corporations. NOW.
4. Again, please watch our live video and make sure you’re on board with us as we head into 2018. We adore each and every one of you–never doubt you’re doing great things with every phone call, tweet, protest and word of encouragement.
